I am happy to share a few extraordinary fleeces from Heritage Farm of Wayland Michigan. The shepherdess, Marilyn and I have been friends from the age of 12. (not telling our current age).
Her flock is a combination of animals that needed the love and care that she was willing to give them and also ones that are born at the farm.
"These Shetland fleeces come from ewes that came to us a year ago do to the down turn in the ecomomy. The person who had them was no longer able to keep his flock. He returned them to the breeder who in turn made them available to us. They have become favorites of my husband who has conviced them with kindness (and treats) that face scratches and chest rubs are a good things."
This light grey/white fleece comes from Grey Girl. Well skirted, however as we do not coat our sheep there will be some VM in it. 3 1/4 pounds @ $10.00 per pound |
